Ferras And Katy Perry’s “Legends Never Die” Gets An Acoustic Remix From Country Club Martini Crew: Listen

If someone released a better duet than “Legends Never Die” in 2014, I’m yet to hear it. The highlight of Ferras‘ uniformly-excellent comeback EP is a soaring, lighters-in-the-air ballad with good friend/boss lady Katy Perry. (He was the first artist signed to her record label Metamorphosis Music). They performed the ode to good times on the “Dark Horse” diva’s Prismatic tour but it still hasn’t received the attention as it deserves.

That makes a new remix by the ever-reliable Country Club Martini Crew a pleasant development. Lucas Fantinel (it’s only one dude) strips the song back to its emotional core, turning it into a gentle acoustic bop. I prefer the original version because it sounds like the best song Starship never released in 1987, but this really shows off Ferras and Katy’s vocal chops. Listen after the jump.
