The Calvin Harris Song Rejected By Rihanna Was Written With Tinashe

Well, Calvin Harris sure seems hurt about his rejection from Rihanna! Earlier this month, the DJ/producer told a British newspaper that the Barbadian diva turned down all of the tracks he created for her. Fast forward to a week later, and Harris is still discussing it!

During his appearance on KISS FM, he took a few steps back from his original statement — saying there wasn’t enough time to work on more than one track on Rihanna’s forthcoming eighth LP, since he was working on his own project with Motion. Harris also revealed that “Dollar Signs” collaborator, Tinashe, helped to write the tune.

He told the radio station, “I had an album to finish, so I did that. But I did one track and Tinashe wrote the top line, and I did all the music. I love it. But I don’t think she was into it. So I don’t know what is going to happen to that because it’s really good.”

In the past, Rihanna and Calvin Harris worked on chart-topping hits like 2011’s “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been.” But with her new album, maybe she just wants to move past the EDM craze and try another sound.
