Roses & Revolutions’ “It’s Christmas Time”: Idolator Premiere

With the weather’s temperature dropping and the year’s end just around the corner, it is the perfect time to bask in the holiday spirit. Today (November 18), we at Idolator are premiering a song from Roses & Revolutions that will do just that! Called “It’s Christmas Time,” the tune strays away from the typically upbeat (and often cheesy) production found in most yuletide songs.

Instead, it provides velvety vocals (courtesy of lead singer Alyssa Coco) that is laid over a warm piano-and-guitar combination. The lyrics are also quite romantic: “The snow, the snow looks lovely as I kiss it off your nose/I love the feeling that no one can hear us.”

When the singer/songwriter duo (comprised of Coco and Matt Merritt) aren’t recording Christmas songs, they are busy promoting their self-titled sophomore EP — which was released in April 2014. The record features the lead single, “Take Me With You.” But in the meantime, grab a mug of hot cocoa and take a listen to “It’s Christmas Time” after the jump!
