One Direction’s ‘Four’ Projected To Have One Of 2014’s Largest Opening Week Sales Debuts (But Not As High As Taylor Swift)

It’s all in the numbers: One Direction‘s fourth studio album FOUR is on track to becoming 2014’s second-largest opening week seller. According to Billboard, the album is currently on track to sell over 420,000 copies in the next week, which would place it right behind “Shake It Off” singer Taylor Swift‘s nearly 1.3 million-selling 1989 debut — still the highest of the year, by far.

The projected sales would also surely suggest a #1 debut, which would make FOUR the group’s fourth consecutive #1 record. So, for anyone still doubting the longevity of that boy band from the the UK, you might want to take a look at the official charts next week.
