American Music Awards 2014: Charli XCX Looked Suitably Fancy On The Red Carpet

When your breakthrough hit is called “Fancy”, there’s extra pressure to look it on the red carpet. Charli XCX certainly rose to the occasion at tonight’s (November 23) American Music Awards in Los Angeles. She followed the trend of wearing a formal gown but still managed to sex things up with the garment’s very low cut. The 22-year-old is shaping up to be one of the game’s surprise glamour girls.

After heating up the red carpet, Iggy Azalea‘s recent collaborator hit the stage to perform new single “Break The Rules”. Thus far, it hasn’t caused much damage on the Billboard Hot 100 — the catchy jam actually hasn’t charted at all — but that could have more to do with radio still spinning her last hit “Boom Clap”. Charli’s crazy performance will no doubt be invaluable promo. Her much-anticipated sophomore LP Sucker drops December 16.
