Gwen Stefani Sets Date For “Spark The Fire” Single, Video And Live Debut
Gwen Stefani has spent the past month teasing “Spark the Fire.” The rap-inspired club banger is her second attempt at a comeback solo single, following “Baby Don’t Lie.”
So, unlike the first single, Stefani has been taking extra care to build anticipation. Snippets of “Spark the Fire” were featured on radio and in a Fiat commercial. The Ellen DeGeneres Show also premiered a video teaser. Pharrell, the song’s producer and fan favorite collaborator, played the song in its entirety during his headlining set at Odd Future‘s annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, likely to spark the interest of spectators too young to remember seeing No Doubt‘s “Don’t Speak” video on MTV.
Now, finally, the singer is ready to premiere “Spark the Fire.” On December 1 – that’s two days from now – she will release the single and its accompanying video, plus perform it with Pharrell on The Voice. See her announcement below.
