Idina Menzel, veteran Broadway actress and Frozen star, just became the first to address the pesky, nearly year-long rumors of a Frozen 2. On November 27, The Telegraph interviewed the entertainer about the speculation, gossip of a stage musical adaptation and a six-minute theatrical short. Her response was short and sweet: “That they’re all in the works.”

Would Menzel be involved? “Ah yeah, sure. Not the stage show — I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully,” she said. “We’ll see. I’m just along for the ride.”

Disney’s CEO Robert Iger first talked of a Broadway adaptation in January, though he said there was no set time frame. (“We’re not demanding speed. We’re demanding excellence,” he said to Fortune.) By then, Frozen had grossed $669 million; now, it is the most successful animated film of all time.

Before she signed on to star in the film, Menzel was successful in her own right, having starred in the original Rent and Wicked. But by voicing ice princess Elsa, she became a crossover star, to the point where she had her own float at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

“I remember some of those classic Disney songs from movies, and you knew the character but you didn’t know the person behind the song,” Menzel said to The Telegraph. “But this is different, this is weird.”
