The Backstreet Boys are about to get really, really real.

The legendary boy band has just announced the release of an upcoming Stephen Kijak-directed documentary called Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of, an “emotionally open and honest documentation of the biggest selling boy band of all time.” According to the official press release, the movie will be released in theaters and as Video-On-Demand on January 30. In addition, the movie will air on TV during VH1’s Rock Docs in Spring 2015.

But the movie, which was filmed over two years, isn’t just a puff piece meant to promote a new tour or album by the best-selling band band in history. Instead, the movie will explore “the extremes of fame, fortune, betrayal and renewal.” Betrayal and renewal? Eyebrow raise! Brian Littrell provides even more juicy insight: “From 1992 to 2002 we were the biggest band in the world. No one thought it was going to be as big as it was…then it just stopped. And what do you do when you’re a full grown man in a boy band?” Oh, this could be good. Find out more over at BSB’s official website.
