Lana Del Rey’s “Big Eyes” & “I Can Fly”: Listen To The Tim Burton Soundtrack Tunes

A lyric video preview of Lana Del Rey‘s title track for the upcoming Big Eyes film premiered on Monday (December 1), but now we get to hear the dusky singer’s full version! The unofficial Queen of Soundtracks (The Great Gatsby and Maleficent) gets it right once again with this swooping ballad. “Big Eyes” shows off the chanteuse’s delicate upper register as well as her brooding lower vocals, which is heightened by the cinematic horn-and-strings production.

“I Can Fly,” her other song from the movie’s soundtrack, has also surfaced! It sounds like a cut from her 2012 Born To Die debut LP — courtesy of the commanding drum production and airy, dream-like vocals. This tune is set to roll during the ending credits.

Big Eyes is set for a theatrical release on Christmas Day, but Del Rey has even bigger plans for the new year! She announced a 2015 “Endless Summer Tour” with former Hole frontwoman, Courtney Love — which is a perfect music match based on the artists’ gloomy and emotive sounds. The tour kicks off on May 7 in The Woodlands, Texas.
