Guy Sebastian Reunites With Lupe Fiasco On “Linger”: Listen To Latest Single From ‘Madness’

After dominating the Australian charts for almost a decade, Guy Sebastian scored a long-overdue US breakthrough when “Battle Scars” cracked the Billboard Hot 100 in 2012. The Lupe Fiasco-assisted anthem reached number one on the R&B chart and eventually sold platinum. No doubt, he’s hoping to repeat that success by reuniting with his former collaborator on “Linger” — the fourth single from the Aussie hitmaker’s new LP Madness.

Produced by Matt Rad (he helmed One Direction‘s “Midnight Memories”), the slinky soul jam finds Guy trying to come to terms with his dysfunctional relationship. “Linger” chugs along ominously until switching gears with the punchy, hook-filled chorus. Lupe’s verse is typically literate and insightful, and adds some depth to the already very, very good single. Listen after the jump.
