Dr. Luke Is Now Suing Kesha’s Lawyer For Lady Gaga Rape Claim
What started an already incredibly messy situation just got, somehow, even messier.
If you’ve not been following along for the full story, the entire legal ordeal began when Kesha formally filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke in October, claiming that the producer had “sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused” her for a decade. (She also reportedly wrote about this to fans while in rehab at the beginning of the year.) Almost immediately, Dr. Luke fired back with a lawsuit of his own, claiming that Kesha’s suit was “a campaign of publishing outrageous and untrue statements.” And then, Dr. Luke sued Kesha’s mom Pebe Sebert for aiding in this alleged defamation.
Then, Pebe fired back with a lawsuit for reportedly giving her post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). And to make matters even more insane, Kesha’s lawyer Mark Geragos made a claim on Twitter that Lady Gaga was reportedly assaulted by Dr. Luke as well — which Gaga’s reps immediately denied. But of course, the story doesn’t stop there.
Luke evidently saw the Twitter claim and is now firing back with a lawsuit against the lawyer. From TMZ: “Luke calls Geragos’ comment “maliciously false.” Gaga backed that up last week, telling TMZ it’s absolutely untrue that Luke was the mystery rapist. In his docs, Luke also says he hadn’t even met Gaga at the time of the alleged rape 9 years ago — and adds he’s never been alone with her or touched her.”
