Carrie Underwood Performs “Something In The Water” on ‘Today Show’: Watch
It’s got to be a great time to be Carrie Underwood right now: Not only is the pop star due to have a baby boy in the springtime, but the soon-to-be-mama was just nominated for two GRAMMY Awards at the upcoming 2015 ceremony — including Best Country Solo Performance for her new single, “Something In The Water.”
And so, to promote the song, as well as her first career compilation record Greatest Hits: Decade Number 1 (out today, December 9), the country siren took to the stage of The Today Show earlier this morning to croon her newly nominated tune.
Surrounded by a full band (and some rather festive Christmas trees!), the singer looked positively glowing as she launched into her soaring new single. Her Idol roots are still showing, because unlike some of her pop contemporaries, Carrie can seriously belt it out live just as she used to do week to week. Those powerhouse pipes. Wow! We’ll have whatever water Carrie’s drinking.
