Troubling news about Scott Stapp, the lead singer of rock band Creed, have been surfacing over the past few weeks. But the latest one to unravel is certainly the most shocking. According to an audio released by TMZ, the artist has threatened to assassinate President Barack Obama.

The 911 call was allegedly made by Stapp’s wife Jaclyn and his sister-in-law, who claim he went missing from a mental health facility and that he was reportedly pretending to be a CIA agent who was ordered to kill the president. Jaclyn also reportedly said that he printed out 400-600 pages of CIA documents which were apparently found online. The news comes straight after Stapp posted a video stating he was homeless, as well as his temporary 60-day psychiatric hold.

When the police arrived to take Stapp back to the psychiatric ward, they claimed he didn’t show enough mental instability to issue the hold. TMZ has access to the 911 call, which can be heard here.
