One Direction Performs on 'Saturday Night Live'
Watch the winning boy band sing ''Night Changes'' and ''Ready to Run.''

Before One Direction took the stage on Saturday Night Live as its musical guests last night (December 20), the winning boy band posed as a swoon-worthy high school dance squad in its “Girlfriends” skit.

Here’s the premise: During a talk show called Girlfriends, Morgan (Aidy Bryant) claims that she’s on the squad, without knowing that her co-host Kyra (Cecily Strong) has invited the team captain (Amy Adams) — or the guy dancers, played by 1D – to the show. Of course, One Direction are convincing as high school heartthrobs — matching track suits, robotic dance moves, “‘Sup Morgan?”‘s and all.

“How’s your guinea pig?” Zayn Malik asks, as Morgan stutters. The best part, of course, is when Niall Horan and Harry Styles try desperately to stifle their laughter.

One Direction, the biggest-selling touring act of 2014 (so far), will embark its UK and Ireland On the Road Again tour in 2015, starting June 6 in Cardiff. Until then, watch the SNL skit up top.
