Back in October, Jennifer Lopez reportedly finalized a deal for a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood. While she’s yet to confirm the news herself, she hinted of just as much when she performed in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve, at a concert called The Best Is Yet to Come and while unexpectedly covering classics by Toni Braxton and Marvin Gaye.

Lopez briefly segued into Braxton’s “Un-Break My Heart,” the 1996 ballad that was No. 1 for 14 weeks, during her performance of AKA‘s “Let It Be Me,” as if to emphasize that yes, she can handle torch ballads. She also transitioned from AKA‘s “First Love” to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” Gaye’s duet with Tammi Terrell, though this time to show that she’s got charisma. Instead of handling the soul classic by herself, she walked off stage and convinced an audience member to chime in.
