Charli XCX Debuts “Doing It” Featuring Rita Ora: Listen
They’re doing it, and doing it, and doing it well: Charli XCX and Rita Ora are coming out strong with a reworked version of Charli’s sparkly Sucker anthem for the UK.
The tune, which was first teased yesterday in a news update from Charli regarding the push-back of her album’s release in the UK, sees Rita hopping on the joyous, ’90’s Mariah Carey-esque jam around the second verse.
There isn’t anything too new about the version, however — Rita stays true to the lyrics of the original, after all — but it’s always nice to hear some girl power in pop. The revised version will hit UK radio beginning next week, and will be out on February 8.
