FKA Twigs, Sam Smith & Tinashe Go Shirtless For 'V'
Standout artists FKA Twigs, Sam Smith, Jessie Ware and Tinashe get sexy for the magazine's music issue.

What happens when you mix Lorde, Banks, Fiona Apple, t.A.T.u. and those ’90’s tattoo chokers in the middle of a tennis court full of babes? At last, Gia‘s “Only A Girl” finally answers that question.

The 18-year-old starlet is making her big break today with “Only A Girl,” an intoxicating ode to lady-on-lady love produced by Bob Dylan‘s grandson, Pablo Dylan. Directed by Mathew Bowman, the bound-to-be-talked-about clip sees Gia and his girlfriends getting down at the tennis court, provocatively lapping up ice cream and riding their bikes through the streets. (And yes, things get especially steamy in the sauna.) According to the budding songstress, the track “represents girls all around the world who have experienced a relationship with another girl. It is who I am and what I like. I feel many girls will relate to it.”

The tripping, finger-snapping downtempo Sapphic tune itself fits in nicely with the ongoing alterna-R&B movement in pop music, brought about by the likes of everyone from Lorde to FKA twigs to Banks. The real question is: Is Gia the next big thing?
