Ivy Levan Lives Up To The Hype On New Single “Biscuit”: Watch The Demented Video

Ivy Levan has been widely hailed as the Next Big Thing since releasing her excellent Introducing The Dame EP back in 2013. After a couple of delays, the stunning singer/model has finally unveiled the first taste of her debut LP (due April) and, happily, it more than lives up to the hype! “Biscuit” is a refreshingly… different pop song with an instantly memorable chorus and lyrics that positively drip with sassy attitude. It’s also the perfect vehicle for the 27-year-old’s husky vocals.

But what’s it all about? “I really wanted to make a song that summed up my attitude and the way I was raised in the South,” Ivy explains. “Southern Belles don’t take no lip.” Now if you think the cover (above) is striking/flawless, wait until you see the video! It plays like a cross between Christina Aguilera‘s legendary “Not Myself Tonight” and a commercial for a southern diner. I particularly loved the dancing biscuits, despite the fact they made me really hungry. Watch the glamorous visual after the jump.
