Christina Perri's "Human" Remix
Christina Perri's "Human" gets a killer remix from Passion Pit. Listen to the dance outfit's synth overhaul.

After switching things up with upbeat pop anthem “Burning Gold,” Christina Perri returns to familiar ground on the latest single from underrated sophomore LP Head or Heart. Another sparse, haunting piano ballad (she has the genre on lock), “The Words” finds the 28-year-old in a particularly contemplative mood — ruminating on love, loss and letting go. Think of it as the world weary but still optimistic cousin of “A Thousand Years.”

As such, the video is a suitably somber affair. It finds Christina hovering around Once Upon A Time actor Colin O’Donoghue as he tends to his orchids, chops wood and takes a bath. At first I thought she was the ghost of his ex-girlfriend — it’s clear that he can’t see her — but then (*spoiler alert*) they finally meet in person and hit it off. Perhaps, it’s just a visual representation of the journey soul mates make to find each other? Watch up top.
