6 Albums That Got Us Through The Polar Vortex
In 2014, we literally lived through one of the most epically sucktastic winters in recorded history.

British pop darling Sophie Ellis-Bextor only just dropped an album last year, but she’s already heading back into the studio.

The “Murder On The Dance Floor” songstress might be best known for her brand of icy dance-pop tunes over the years, but Ellis-Bextor surprised fans with her wondrously dreamy foray into more folk-driven pop with Wanderlust at the top of 2014. The album, which charted at #4 in the UK and produced singles like “Young Blood” and “Runaway Daydreamer,” went on to become Sophie’s most successful record since her 2001 solo debut, Read My Lips. And judging by her latest Instagram, it seems she’s going to continue down that same sonic path.

“We have begun! Day one songwriting for album 6 with @edharcourt,” she wrote in a cheerful selfie with producer Ed Harcourt, who co-helmed the entirety of Wanderlust. What are you hoping to hear from Sophie’s next effort?

Check out the Instagram after the jump, and give us your dream Sophie scenario in the comments below.
