Shakira Gives Birth To Second Baby Boy
Congratulations are in order for Shakira! The songstress has given birth to another child yesterday (January 29) in Barcelona, Spain. The baby, whose name is Sasha Piqué Mebarak, is the second son for the 37-year-old and her boyfriend — soccer star Gerard Pique.
Shakira broke the news on her official website, stating: “We are happy to announce the birth of Sasha Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born January 29 at 9:54pm, in Barcelona. The name Sasha is of Greek and Russian descent and means ‘defender of mankind’ and ‘warrior.’ The hospital confirmed that both mother and child are in excellent health.”
The couple’s first son, Milan (born in January 2013) is now a big brother. Best wishes to the happy couple!
