She promises a "lighthearted" halftime performance: 13 pics

Katy Perry will have a major career moment when she performs at the Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday (February 1), and inside this week’s issue of Billboard she spoke about what she has in store!

Inside, the popstress discusses the big performance: “There isn’t any selling point going up the day after. I’m just selling my music to the broadest, widest audience ever.” But definitely expect her outfit to be as elaborate as ever!

Baz Halpin, Perry’s creative director, exclaims: “I used to say, ‘That’s ridiculous, we can never do that. Now I just say, ‘You want to fly in on a giant banana and burst into flames? We’ll make it work’.”

The singer also speaks with the magazine about her stance on relationships. “What I will say is that to have any relationship at this level you have to just be protective and figure out how to navigate it,” Perry states. “There is no handbook. In all my relationships, I’ve learned how I have to be more careful and that it’s not up for public consumption.”
