Rihanna releases the official video for “FourFiveSeconds,” her new single featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney, today (February 3). As seen with this behind-the-scenes clip, the singer has decided to go for a minimal look that mimics the song’s acoustic, bluesy feel. Directed by high fashion photographers Inez & Vinoodh, the black + white visual captures the rough edge in the lyrics, the rawness of McCartney’s guitar and the heartfelt emotion bouncing between the Bad Gal and ‘Ye.

Judging from this new video and magazine covers like her current i-D one, it’s possible that Rihanna may be going for a more toned-down, ’90s inspired look. Yet this is only the first single from her upcoming album, so time will only tell.
