AronChupa's Hit
AronChupa's "I'm An Albatraoz" has conquered the charts in Europe. Is America next?

AronChupa‘s “I’m An Albatraoz” is hands-down the weirdest hit single of 2015. The bizarre tale of a slutty rodent (“Dilory was a mouse in a big brown house, she call herself a hoe”) set to furious euro-house beats and tinkling piano keys conquered continental Europe last year and then proved equally popular in Australia and New Zealand. It’s only a matter of time before the kooky anthem does serious damage on the Billboard Hot 100, so get ready to hear a lot more of this song in the coming months.

“The idea of the ‘I’m An Albatraoz’ song was to make something that’s a little bit different,” Aron Ekberg (his real name) explains. “I wanted to mix this old school 1920s swing style — or that kind of music — with the modern EDM music.” The Swedish DJ then roped in his sister to sing the vocal and flew to San Francisco to film the video when the track took off. We’re exciting to premiere behind-the-scenes footage from that trip, which will give you a much better appreciation for the guiltiest pleasure on the airwaves. Watch up top.
