Meghan Trainor lends her chart-conquering vocals to Charlie Puth's new single "Marvin Gaye."

Charlie Puth teams up with Meghan Trainor on his major label debut single “Marvin Gaye.” The newcomer, who built a huge following on YouTube before being signed by Atlantic Records, shared a forty second preview today (February 5) and it’s an exceedingly cute retro-pop anthem. “You got the healing that I want, just like they say in the song,” they chirp in the chorus. “Until the dawn, let’s Marvin Gaye and get it on.”

It’s easy to see what drew the “All About That Bass” hitmaker to “Marvin Gaye.” Charlie’s tune taps into the same Motown sound that she explores so successfully on debut LP Title. “We did a song, it’s amazing,” promised Meghan in their announcement video. “It’s the first song I cut that I haven’t written.” The collaborators have also promised to perform the song live on the Grammy-nominated diva’s upcoming That Bass Tour.
