Katy Tiz Interview
Katy Tiz talks to us about "The Big Bang," signing with Atlantic and second chances.

Katy Tiz landed an unexpected hit in 2014 when her cover of Rock Mafia‘s “The Big Bang” landed on the Billboard Hot 100. That lead to a record deal with Atlantic and a second chance at pop superstardom after a brief stint as RedOne‘s muse a couple of years ago. (Never forget the genius that was “Red Cup”!) The Brit has spent the last few months working on a worthy follow-up and she certainly delivers that with insanely catchy club-banger “Whistle (While You Work It)”.

Produced by J.R. Rotem, who is staging something of a revival with Fall Out Boy‘s “Centuries” and credits on Fifth Harmony and Meghan Trainor‘s new albums, Katy’s latest is an irresistible feel-good anthem with a killer hook. “Never let ’em see you down, gotta smile while you’re hurting,” the pop diva dictates in the catchy chorus. “And whistle while you work it.” Expect to hear this all over radio very soon.
