Charli XCX is expanding her business brand by starring in Pepsi's new music program, Out Of The Blue.

Thoroughly over hearing Taylor Swift‘s Grammy nominated ditty, “Shake It Off”? Get ready to hear it one more time…but in an entirely different way, because Charli XCX has just breathed new life into the song.

The “Doing It” pop princess just dropped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to perform her latest single. And while she was there, she also delivered a pretty amazing surprise: A shout-filled punk version of Taylor Swift‘s peppy pop global smash, “Shake It Off.”

Backed by rowdy background vocalists, the effortlessly cool singer adds some serious edge to the otherwise sugary production, turning the song into something that wouldn’t sound at all out of place on the singer’s latest album, Sucker. Wonder if Taylor appreciates the reinterpretation?

Listen to Charli’s feisty take on the track below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
