Paulina Rubio Hits The Club And Hooks Up In Her “Mi Nuevo Vicio” Video: Watch
After a three year break, Paulina Rubio returns to the music scene with “Mi Nuevo Vicio” (that’s “My New Addiction,” if your Spanish isn’t up to scratch). It’s the first taste of the Mexican pop icon’s 11th studio album and represents something of a change of pace. The electro-pop of 2011 LP Brava! has been replaced with an earthier pop/rock sound. The “Boys Will Be Boys” diva will always be the queen of Latin nightclubs to me, but she pulls off the genre change with ease.
Pau dropped the video for “Mi Nuevo Vicio” today (February 17) and it finds her experiencing a most enjoyable Groundhog Day. The 43-year-old hits the club for a bit of dancing, picks up a ripped hunk and does it all over again for the rest of the week. There’s also a cute scene where she twirls under a white sheet and fixes her make-up in the bathroom. It’s a cute concept and Paulina looks typically flawless. Watch up top.
