After various teasers over the past few weeks, Selena Gomez and Zedd‘s collaboration is now here! Titled “I Want You To Know,” the upbeat tune released today (February 23). Judging from the ’70s-inspired Instagram photos, one would assume the track will have a refreshing, groovy feel — yet it is the exact opposite.

Zedd borrows his tried-and-true EDM formula that doesn’t bring anything new to the genre, while Gomez’s vocals churn around the rhythms like clothes on auto-spin. It is not the most exciting track, but it will have people bopping at the nightclubs.

“I Want You To Know” is written and produced by Zedd with some help from OneRepublic‘s Ryan Tedder. It is the first single to be released from the producer’s forthcoming second album and follow-up to his 2012 debut Clarity, which includes the Grammy-winning title track. Look out for Zedd’s next project this Spring via Interscope Records.
