So, Like, ‘Clueless’ Is Turning 20 This Year, And There’s Totally A Vinyl Soundtrack Re-Release On The Way
Two years back here on Idolator, we took a way existential look back at the 1995 soundtrack to Clueless and interviewed “Supermodel” singer Jill Sobule and the movie’s music supervisor, Karyn Rachtman, in the process. It felt like the right time to do such a retrospective, as the film turned 18 — the same age of the characters in the classic teen flick.
But, hello — this summer Clueless will hit another milestone as it turns 20, and on the music side, the occasion is being commemorated with a special vinyl re-release of the soundtrack, courtesy of Universal Music Enterprises.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the newly whipped-up vinyl edition will be in national retailers on April 7, with an exclusive Urban Outfitters black and yellow plaid edition also available.
