Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You”: Listen To Her Comeback Single And Prepare To Transcend, Pop Lovers

There are certain things you’ll always remember in the innermost canals of your mind: Your first kiss; that broody guy in philosophy class you never never had the courage to talk to who was chiseled from marble; your wedding day; and your inaugural play of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “I Really Like You.”

In case your name is Rip Van Winkle and you missed the past 20 years or so, Carly Rae is the singer of “Call Me Maybe,” the last great Song Of The Summer. (That would be Summer 2012.) The parent album of that song was called Kiss, a record most of you gave fuck-all interest in, because it was criminally over-looked and under-listened-to, and Jepsen pretty much stumbled off into obscurity after its release…until now!

“I Really Like You” is the first single from CRJ’s follow-up album, and it’s official release date is two days from now — March 2. This being 2015, naturally the track has leaked for your enjoyment over the weekend.

The good news: The song is good. The great news: Scratch what I just wrote.. “I Really Like You” is mind-blowing, fantastic, catchy-as-hell pop that will make you want to Facebook-stalk that broody guy from philosophy class, marry him and have babies with him until your future second husband comes along.
