Dawn Richard is forever showing up R&B's leading ladies with her arty visuals, but she raises the bar even further with this video.

After the announcement of her headlining show in London later this summer, Dawn Richard is keeping the good news coming with a brand new song called “New Or Lean.”

“To coincide with this announcement of my first UK show … I’d like to release some new music … Are ya’ll down?” she tweeted yesterday before releasing the song.

Kicking off with a sample of a speech from 1966’s The Wild Angels, the New Orleans-bred songstress drops into a club-ready, party-friendly cut crafted by producer Swagg R’Celious. “Like Bey, I’mma come out of nowhere/Drop shit, break the Internet/I’m so New Or Lean/Bitches wan’ be me,” she confidently proclaims across the heavily vocoded electro track.
