We spoke to the singer about her debut LP, breaking into the U.S. market & twerking!

Like many artist these days, Kendrick Lamar is taking the surprise route when it comes to his album promotion! Straight after seemingly dropping an iTunes like to his new project out of the blue, the rapper has now sneakily revealed the cover art. He posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Don’t all dogs go to heaven? Don’t Gangsta’s boogie? Do owl shit stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream nigga….” – lil Homie.

The photo is in fact the album art, whose title (if you pay attention to the caption) is To Pimp A Butterfly — a play of Harper Lee’s 1960 novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. It shows a group of black men standing in front of the White House as they hold money and cash, while a judge lays dead at their feet. Kendrick Lamar’s forthcoming third studio LP is set for a March 23 release via Aftermath/Interscope, and features tracks like “i” and “The Blacker The Berry.”
