Ricky Martin Teams Up With Pitbull For Raunchy Club-Banger “Mr. Put It Down”: Listen
Ricky Martin only just released his 10th LP, a Spanish-language opus called A Quien Quiera Escuchar, in mid-February. It comes as something of a surprise then that the Latin heartthrob is already promoting album number 11. He dropped the lead single from the English-language project this morning (March 11) and it’s an upbeat collaboration with Pitbull called “Mr. Put It Down.”
The raunchy, disco-flavored jam begins with a fairly standard verse from Mr. Worldwide (he’s brags about his way with the ladies), before Ricky joins in: “Who has a lifetime, baby? We’ve got the night right now. When you see what I’m planning, you’re gonna call me Mr. Put It Down.” Alright then! It sounds like a cross between Justin Timberlake’s “Take Back The Night” and Austin Mahone’s “Mmm Yeah,” which isn’t such a bag thing.
