Mariah Carey Announces Las Vegas Residency
AfterPop diva Mariah Carey has officially confirmed her Las Vegas residency deal at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace!

Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire dahhhling.

Following the loud whispers that began circulating earlier in the year that Mariah Carey had reunited with L.A. Reid for an album deal, the news was officially confirmed today by the label.

The elusive chanteuse, who is currently preparing for her #1’s Las Vegas residency beginning on May 6, has inked a multi-album contract with Epic Records, confirmed by a Sony label spokesperson to Billboard.

To kick off the Me. I Am Mariah singer’s new contract, she’ll be putting out a greatest hits compilation, which is “expected to feature updates and possibly duets of her classic songs.” And that’s not all! The site also reports that Mariah is already hitting the recording studio in LA.

Any guesses on those guest collaborators for that greatest hits package? Judging by her approval of Epic Records troupe Fifth Harmony and their Reflection tribute “Like Mariah,” we’ve got our money on a cameo from the girls. But who knows?

What do you think about the album deal, as well as the upcoming “updated” greatest hits package? Sound off in the comments below.
