David Guetta's 'Listen': Album Review
Find out what we had to say about David Guetta's star-studded 'Listen' LP. Read now.

The singles just keep coming from David Guetta’s sixth LP! After dropping back-to-back Sam Martin collaborations (“Lovers On The Sun” and “Dangerous”), the Frenchman is going with Emeli Sande-voiced floorfiller “What I Did For Love” as the fifth cut from Listen — at least, internationally. (It looks like the DJ has opted for Nicki Minaj/Afrojack-assisted jam “Hey Mama” in the US).

That would explain the UK-centric promo video, which pays tribute to Cadbury’s Milk Tray Man. At this point you might be wondering a) what is Cadbury’s and b) who is the Milk Tray Man? In short, Cadbury’s is the preferred brand of chocolate in most of the Commonwealth (UK, Australia, New Zealand etc) and the Milk Tray Man was a James Bond-like character that delivered a box of chocolates — known as a Milk Tray — to sexy ladies, usually after jumping off a cliff or climbing up the side of a building, in a series of iconic commercials than ran from 1968 to 2003.

The clever concept doesn’t really connect with the gospel-dance vibe of “What I Did For Love” (I’m sure an actual video will arrive eventually) but it’s a welcome shot of nostalgia for anyone who grew up watching the Milk Tray Man’s adventures. Meet your new favorite action hero up top.

There’s also an animated lyric video for “What I Did For Love.” Check it out below:
