Zayn Malik Leaves One Direction Tour Due To “Stress” Amid Cheating Rumors: Read The Statement
Zayn Malik has been the subject of many scandals and Trending Topics in the past, but it looks like the latest rumor might have done a little too much damage.
The One Direction member was plagued with tabloid headlines earlier this week accusing the singer of cheating on his fiancé Perrie Edwards (of Little Mix) with a woman named Lauren Richardson, thanks to a series of supposedly incriminating photos. “I’m 22 years old… I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous fucks in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like x,” the young singer tweeted in defense yesterday.
However, it seems he’s not dealing with those rumors too well.
In a statement tweeted out by Simon Jones of Hackford Jones PR, which represents One Direction in the UK, the company confirmed that Zayn is now heading back home in the middle of their On The Road Again 2015 Tour. “Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta.”
In February, Zayn left the stage early in Perth due to illness. He also missed a TODAY Show appearance due to a “tummy bug.” Are these incidents connected?
