After providing endless teasers for her “Famous” video, Charli XCX has now debuted the single’s fun visual as part of the 2015 Youtube Music Awards promotion! Directed by Eric Wareheim, the clip features a young girl in her room (which is filled with ’90s-inspired kitschy items) as she watches the UK popstress perform the tune on her bejeweled iPhone.

But things soon take a turn as old people dressed up as teenagers interrupts the main character’s streaming session, and she enters a very odd technology-based realm. At first glance, the video is basically an entire advertisement for Youtube. Or maybe Charli is just trolling us all in reference to the mainstream demand of album streams and our obsessive “Look at me!” societal culture. But hey, at least the outfits are cool?

“Famous” is the fourth single off Charli XCX’s sophomore album Sucker, which dropped last December. It follows tracks like “Boom Clap,”Break The Rules” and the Rita Ora-assisted “Doing It.”
