The influence of Philly soul is more than apparent in “My Heart Would Take You Back,” Shayne Ward’s lead single off upcoming album Closer (out April 12), and now there’s a stylish, black and white music video to accompany the Mike Stock-produced ballad.

Here we see Shayne looking quite anguished over a one-sided relationship, while also reminiscing about what was perhaps happier times with his better half. “I’m such a fool, but I can’t help loving you,” Ward laments while singing into an old-time microphone and looking dapper, decked out in a white shirt and black jacket.

Added Bonus: This being Shayne Ward, of course, we get to also see the handsome 2005 X Factor UK winner in a few states of shirtlessness and undress while cranking up the sex appeal. Get a load of that towel scene, for instance…

Give “My Heart Would Take You Back” a watch above ahead of the April release of Ward’s fourth LP Closer.
