It turns out good fella Ray Liotta didn't leave his music video aspirations behind after starring in David Guetta's "Lovers On The Sun."

It seems everyone is now being asked to weigh in on Zayn Malik leaving One Direction at this point, including the remaining band members, Zayn, former boy band member Nick Jonas and, most recently, x crooner Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran is no stranger to 1D, however. As a friend to the band, he’s written a bunch of songs for the group, including “Little Things,” “Over Again,” “Summer Love” and “Moments.”

During an interview with Hughesy and Kate in Australia earlier this week, he spoke out about Zayn’s departure from 1D:

“I think whatever makes him happy. The most important thing in life is to be happy, and if he was unhappy in that situation, then don’t stay in it. You don’t want to make yourself unhappy just to earn money. That’s not what life’s about. You’re meant to enjoy life. And if he wasn’t enjoying his life, then fair play to him.”

Like Nick, it sounds like Ed understands Zayn’s situation. How do you feel about Ed’s response? Listen to the interview below, and sound off in the comments.
