There was not much to write home about in regards to last night’s (March 29) 2nd annual iHeartRadio Music Awards, but one of the show’s few highlights came courtesy of Justin Timberlake. The pop star was the recipient for the 2015 Innovator Award, who was introduced to the stage by fashion designer Tom Ford.

In his commencement-esque speech, the “TKO” singer spoke about his struggles in school and quoted the likes of Steve Jobs and former president Theodore Roosevelt.

Towards the end, Timberlake thanked his wife Jessica Biel for her support. “You can’t have innovation without creation. I want to thank my best friend, my favorite collaborator, my wife Jessica at home,” he said. “Honey I can’t wait to see our greatest creation yet. Don’t worry, daddy’s heading home right now to innovate by learning how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on.”
