Allie X's 'CollXtion I'
All about the mysterious Canadian singer's upcoming debut release.

It seems Allie X’s CollXtion I release date has been pushed by just a week, from April 7 to April 14, but here’s a brand new song preview, by way of yet another spinning gif video — or, ahem, an Xample — to hold you over till then. This time around we get a minute-long clip of “Hello,” a synthy ray of sunshine that serves as the opening track on CollXtion I.

“And it started with a hello / I could be your super hero / I could love you for the rest of my life / don’t you ever let me go,” Allie sings on the bright “Hello” chorus, which sounds like it could have rivaled the absolute shiniest of new wave pop hits from the 1980s had the song been released some 30 years ago.

The singer looks like a vision of pale beauty here, as she goes ’round and ’round in circles while wearing a black turtle neck, red coat, white skirt and white leggings flecked with what looks like polka dots (or hearts?). Added bonus: We get to see her without her trademark sunglasses on.

Give Allie X’s “Hello” Xample a “spin” above.
