Jermaine Dupri Slams Ciara's "I Bet"
Jermaine Dupri thinks Ciara's new single "I Bet" is a rip-off of Usher's "U Got It Bad."

Don’t write off Ciara’s “I Bet” just yet. The stunning diva’s new single recently peaked at number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 (and number 15 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart), but she has a rabbit up her sleeve in the form of a star-studded remix. According to Billboard, the 29-year-old will drop a dance version of the mid-tempo jam later this month featuring T.I. and Joe Jonas!

It’s an interesting proposition. Everyone loves CiCi in club-banger mode and the involvement of the former teen heartthrob is a canny move given the career resurgence of brother Nick Jonas. “I Bet” has drawn more than its fair share of controversy (producer Jermaine Dupri accused it of ripping off Usher’s “U Got It Bad”), so it could do with some good publicity. Time will tell if it has any impact on the song’s chart fortunes. Fingers crossed.
