Alyxx Dione Comes Hard With Debut Single “Chingalinga”: Listen
Alyxx Dione is the first artist signed to Jason Derulo’s Future History Records — a joint venture with RCA. As such, expectations for the diva’s debut single are pretty high. And while “Chingalinga” is unlikely to be a frontrunner at next year’s Grammys, it is a ridiculously catchy club-banger that evokes early Ciara, both with its fiery lyrics and heavy production.
Co-written by Derulo, Sean Douglas, Jason Evigan and Jonas Jeberg, “Chingalinga” begins somewhat bizarrely (“chew that bazooka, big barracuda”) but soon gains momentum as Alyxx explains the way to her heart/bed. “I got the keys to the kingdom now, they ching-a-ling when my chain hang down,” she purrs. “My golden gates got the boys locked out, but who got the keys?”
