The singer talks her upcoming debut LP and her Aussie roots!

Lykke Li has dropped the video for her latest single, “Never Gonna Love Again,” today (April 6) — and is it a downright stunner. The tune comes from the singer’s third LP, I Never Learn (released in May 2014), with the visual directed by Philippe Tempelman.

It finds the singer in a lush, cinematic setting with lights fading in and out of various scenes while she sulks in the back of a car before a performance.

The Swedish starlet explained the video’s concept to Rolling Stone:

“Loneliness and heartbreak follows you everywhere and they are loudest right after the lights go out and the crowds quiet. Here’s is an intimate glimpse of how it can be to live your dream whilst stuck in your dream. In the lonely wolf hour, the night becomes your stage, the stars your audience, the rain your memories.”

A few months ago, Lykke Li announced she was going on a temporary hiatus in order to restore her mental and physical health. Fans can look for her return to the stage this week, as she’ll be performing at Coachella. She is also featured on Emile Haynie’s debut We Fall LP on the track “Come Find Me,” which also includes the xx’s Romy Madley Croft.
