New Find: Vallis Alps' "Young"
Australian duo Vallis Alps deliver a dreamy delight with new single "Young." Listen.

Australian newcomers Japanese Wallpaper and Airling have been generating serious buzz on their own, but they take things to a whole new level on dreamy collaboration “Forces.” It’s a drowsy electro-lullaby with sugary sweet lyrics (“I’ve been thinkin’ ’bout it and I’ve been dreaming about you”) and a warm, ethereal soundscape. Imagine Flume on heavy tranquilizers for some idea of what to expect.

What to know more about the duo? Japanese Wallpaper (real name Gab Strum) is an 18-year-old producer from Melbourne, who first made waves with excellent 2013 single “Breathe In.” As for Airling (Hannah Shepherd), she hails from Brisbane and came to fame via Triple J Unearthed — the same unsigned talent competition that produced Meg Mac. Listen to their exceedingly pretty collaboration below.
