Last week “Uptown Funk” became the longest-running #1 single of the decade, and this week brings another milestone for the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars collaboration: It now has the distinction of being tied with six other songs as the second-longest running chart-topping single on the Billboard Hot 100 ever.

That means the following singles, in descending order from their time of reigning, have spent 14 weeks at the top of the chart:

* “Uptown Funk” — Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars (2014-15)

* “I Gotta Feeling” — The Black Eyed Peas (2009)

* “We Belong Together” — Mariah Carey (2005)

* “Candle In The Wind ’97/Something About The Way You Look Tonight” — Elton John (1997)

* “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)” — Los Del Rio (1996)

* “I’ll Make Love To You” — Boyz II Men (1994)

* “I Will Always Love You” — Whitney Houston (1992)

That’s right, folks — like it or not, “Uptown Funk” is a new modern classic at this point. And if it holds out for one more week, it will pass all the others listed above and become the second-longest running #1, period. Two more weeks and it ties Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day” for the longest time spent atop the Billboard Hot 100. And one week more and it will become The Longest-Running #1 Single Ever.
