You’re not dreaming. David Hasselhoff released a new single and it’s kind of (ok, completely) awesome. The acting legend lends his angelic vocals to Kung Fury soundtrack cut “True Survivor.” “Kung, what?” You may be wondering. It’s only the best ’80s-referencing action movie of all time — at least, if the trailer (below) is any indication. The Kickstarter sensation premieres via YouTube on May 28, the same day the soundtrack drops.

“The 80s was about fun, action and heroes,” the Knight Rider/Baywatch great says. “Kung Fury has it all! I’m honored to be involved with [director] David Sandberg, an up-and-coming force of nature in the animation digital entertainment world.” As for his new jam? “The song is perfect for me as I really am — in real life — a True Survivor.” If you blended the soundtracks of Tron, The Karate Kid and every Brat Pack movie, it would sound a little something like this. Watch up top.
