Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor speak a make-out frenzy in "Marvin Gaye" video.

Charlie Puth is having one hell of a year. The 23-year-old teamed up with Meghan Trainor for major label debut single “Marvin Gaye” and then lent his soulful pipes to Wiz Khalifa’s Furious 7 rap ballad “See You Again.” The track sold just under 500,000 downloads last week — more than enough to snag it the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Not bad for a guy who first built a following via YouTube videos.

While those two songs climb the charts, Charlie is hard at work on his debut LP. He shared another track from the album today (April 17) and it’s a stone-cold smash. “I Won’t Tell A Soul” is a throwback to the soulful crooning of the 1960s. The rising star tries to convince his lady friend to cheat on her man over plucked guitar strings. It sounds like a cross between Bruno Mars and The Righteous Brothers, which is a surprisingly great thing. Listen below.
