Black Eyed Peas Gear Up For A Comeback
The hip-hop group stormed David Guetta's Coachella set to debut its new single.

When will.i.am first talked of a Black Eyed Peas comeback, he said not to expect an album because no one listens to albums anymore. (“They listen to a whole bunch of songs at once,” the producer and frontman said to Ryan Seacrest in December 2014.) Instead, fans should expect “new experiences.”

Apparently, that includes the 2015 NBA Playoffs. On April 17, ESPN debuted a new, flashy commercial for the tournament featuring the Black Eyed Peas. For the first time, the hip-hop group (sans Fergie) previews the studio version of “Awesome” — its first new music in five years — as they appear alongside Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson and superstar NBA players from the Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors, among other teams.

Black Eyed Peas wrote “Awesome” specifically for the 2015 NBA Playoffs, according to a press release. The song made its live debut earlier this week during David Guetta‘s Coachella set.
